Want a beautiful leaf peeping trip that also includes advancing women's health?  NYSALM has organized an incredible Region 1 conference looking at topics ranging from global health to diversity in midwifery to the opiate crisis. 

September 26th-- MA Midwifery Summit and Affiliate Meeting AND Affiliate Business Meeting

Join us for the first Massachusetts Midwives Summit to advance midwifery in our state.  Expert panels will discuss workforce development, clinical innovation, legislation and regulation and healthy equity. 

Given the large number of midwives that will be gathered at the MA Midwifery Summit, we will be holding our Fall Business meeting at the Summit site.  12-1pm

All midwives welcome, even those not attending the Summit.  We will also have video conference available.  We will be discussing strategies to increase ACNM membership and increase our Public Relations efforts.

February 28th-- Film Screening for Black History Month

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is pleased to invite you to a a film screening and discussion of the traditions, and historical significance of granny midwives in the United States. This event is open to members of the area birthing community. Miss Margaret: The Story of an Alabama Granny Midwife (2008), 50 min.  Light refreshments will be served at 5:30pm, the film will begin at 6pm.

MA ACNM is among 30 organizations lobby for full contraceptive coverage and confidential health services for young women.  State House, Boston MA.
