Welcome back to the ACNM Massachusetts Affiliate Blog!

April 25, 2016

We are delighted to REintroduce this project, a shared effort of local nurse midwives aimed at exploring issues and information related to women’s and reproductive health, particularly news and topics that affect the individuals and families we serve here in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

You may be a fellow midwife, birth worker, or other health care professional. You may be a member of the community already familiar with midwifery care, either through your own experiences or those of someone you love. Or you might be confused about what midwives are, what type of work we do, and why it matters. Whatever your reasons for coming here, we’re happy you’ve found us and we think you’ll find something that interests you.

Upcoming posts will spotlight the extraordinary work of midwives and midwifery practices across the state, address news stories and current events affecting women’s health. We will also explore issues that come up in our daily work, but we’re also open to suggestions and comments below! If your are an Affiliate member, please join our Affiliate Facebook group. Otherwise, please follow us on our public Facebook or onTwitter @midwivesmass with any ideas or questions.

Till soon,
